Six Elements of a Good Business Card Design

Business Card designs by Team Tiggio Anime:

Business cards are often the first point of interaction between your company and its clients or other business associates. It contains vital company details through which your clients can contact you whenever they want. This card has the strength to either impress people in your favor or make them dismiss you as another run-of-the-mill business owner. Business card design should therefore be taken seriously and professional designers should be entrusted with the job.
An effective business card must contain a few basic details which are indispensable to its efficiency.

Company Name & Logo
The company logo is a visual ambassador for your company. It is indispensable in creating a brand identity and adds to brand recall value. The right business card should therefore have the company logo prominently displayed in an uncluttered way. The company name should appear below the logo in legible font. Business card design should aim to display both the logo and the name clearly on the card.

Contact Details
Though it may seem obvious, it is vital to check that your business card carries the right details about you and your company. Contact details must include your name, designation, address, telephone numbers, business mobile number, email ID, website details and details on social media sites.
In short, your business card should contain all such details which may help a prospective customer to contact you just whenever or whichever way he/she wants. Once a customer fails to contact you, he/she can easily spread a bad name for your company.

The Back-side
The flip-side of your business card is equally important. The right kind of business card design must use the vacant space on the back to provide extra information about your company. You may include the names of different group companies, different branch addresses, list of products, allied services, call-to-action and much more. In fact, the additional information provided on the back can make your company look more professional, well-established and reputable.
Images
Visual impact is always more effective than mere words. Business card design can incorporate an image or a graphical representation of your nature of business. Apart from the written information, such images will help customers to recognize instantly what your company deals in. This can be especially helpful when somebody is rummaging through stacks of cards; looking for a related service. The image on your card will instantly draw his/her attention.

Card Material
There are different types of materials on which to print your business card. All materials have their own pros and cons and budget is also a consideration. You may also select the material keeping in mind your target group.
Traditional paper cards are cheaper, easier to write on and can be circulated in bulk. They are alright for distribution when you are interacting with people in general. Expensive cards in plastic or other fancy materials convey a more exclusive, affluent and successful image both for you and your company. You can distribute these cards at select gatherings where the business stakes are very high.

The Print
A shabbily printed business card will add no value to your business. After finalizing your business card design, ensure that the printing is of good quality. All the graphical and textual parts, including the logo, should be clearly visible and readable. The card should look clutter-free, organized and impressive.
